Germany: in May exports down 0.5% on April 2022
Imports rose by 2.7 percent
04 July, 10:01 (ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 4 - On a calendar and seasonally
adjusted basis, German exports fell by 0.5 percent in May 2022,
while imports rose by 2.7 percent, according to preliminary data
from the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). Exports
increased by 11.7 percent and imports increased by 27.8 percent
from May 2021. Exports to the Russian Federation increased by
29.4 percent to 1.0 billion euros in May 2022 compared to April
2022, after falling by nearly 60 percent in March 2022 compared
to February 2022 and by 9.9 percent in April 2022 compared to
March 2022. They were 54.6 percent lower than in May 2021.
Imports from Russia fell 9.8 percent to 3.3 billion euros in May 2022, compared to April 2022. (ANSA).
